Welcome to the remote land of YakutatWild™!  Our rivers flow from the highest coastal range in the world where towering glaciers spill into the sea split by hundreds of miles of uninhabited sand beaches and boulder strewn coastline. The town of Yakutat borders the Tongass National Forest and is surrounded by Glacier Bay and Wrangell St Elias National Parks.  Our backyard borders Canada’s Kluane National Park ensuring pristine salmon habitats and pollution free waters

 YakutatWild™ is the regional seafood brand for salmon fisheries occurring in the rivers of Yakutat and the Gulf of Alaska.  The Yakutat Branding Association, a local community effort, was formed to further the goals of local processors, fisherman and direct marketers in the areas of quality handling and training.

 The parent group for YakutatWild™ is the Yakutat Salmon Board.  The board’s function is to protect and restore watersheds creating a symbiotic relationship between sustainable harvests and maintaining healthy rivers.

 The overall vision of YakutatWild™ is to develop a name that is synonymous with quality and to promote responsible harvest of wild, renewable seafood resources.
